Developers have shared some information about how the economy will work in the game in their Dev diary #18. According to this, players will be able to earn income by completing various tasks during the game. This income can be spent on various in-game situations such as fuel, repairs, and car washes.

It has also been added to the developer diary by the company that changes can be made to the economic simulation if requested by players after the game’s early access release.
